| Town Hall's bottled water ban
BOTTLED water has been banned from all council-run buildings in Bolton. Instead staff and councillors at the Town Hall, local authority offices and schools are being told to drink tap water. The move was suggested by council leader, Cliff Morris, in a bid to help save the environment and promote the use of the region's tap water supplies. It was given cross party support at a meeting of the full council this week. The move will lead to all water coolers which have large plastic bottles on top being removed from council buildings. Smaller bottles, which are sometimes supplied will also be banned. They will be replaced with water fountains which will be connected to the main supply. Cllr Morris said: "This is a green issue and we felt we should lead by example.
2008 Royal Rumble Hitlist: Flair's emotion, Jericho's intensity, Cena ...
The highlight was when he said the fans would cheer for anything, including if he asked them if they want hepatitis. There might not be a funnier line in 2008. Hardy vs. Orton: This was a very good match. I would have liked it go another 5 minutes, but it was a lot of fun while it lasted. This was one of Jeff Hardy's best performances in a regular one on one match. Most of the highlights of his career involve ladders, and it was good to see him pull off a very good match under these circumstances. The match had good back and forth action. It was an interesting mix of styles, with the methodical Randy Orton trying to ground and slow down the high energy Hardy. There was one very sloppy spot. That, along with the shorter than expected time (and the result) keeps this from being a great match.
Cellulose ethanol production offers several advantages
Many questions are being raised regarding the viability of ethanol. The United States can easily produce 1.3 billion tons per year of cellulose and/or landfill trash. The ethanol produced could replace more than 30 percent of gasoline consumed. According to a 2008 Nebraska study, cellulose ethanol yields about 540 percent more renewable energy than is required to grow and convert it. The tested switchgrass fields produced 320 gallons of ethanol per acre. Producing fuel ethanol from cellulose greatly expands the types and amounts of feedstock available for production. Not only can prairie switchgrass be used, but you can utilize cornstalks, straw, wood chips, tree branches and the county landfill trash. .

Team Party Crash: 'Radar' Third Issue Party
Nick Denton saunters up with L.A. blogger Mickey Kaus, who, in his long trench coat, looks like he desperately wants to be somebody's Deep Throat. The men start talking about Michael Kinsley and our eyes glaze over. Once they start serious discussion of whether Stuff magazine was "darker" under Greg Gutfeld's reign, we politely excuse ourselves. Also, we feel a bit weird reporting with Denton standing right there. It's a little like how we imagine it would feel to have our parents watching us have sex -- if Denton had any idea who we were. His hair is real. His love is not. With his love of karaoke and his knack for triple-fisting, we can see why NYT metro hottie Nick Confessore is a hit at these kinds of parties. Krucoff: "Si? Chuck? Let's hug it out." We don't know at what point the party turns into a blogger clusterfuck, but we're pretty sure it's around the time Andrew Krucoff shows up, minus his trusty box of "Save Krucoff" buttons.
